| These may have been requested before, but I find more and more I wish I had access to them so I'm going to ask as well...
First, more hair styles... preferably updated to make use of flex. This is really the next needed feature, and honestly I rather expect that it's already in the works... but I bring it up anyway.
Second, is a bit more obscure. Camera Line Path interpolation... uh, yeah, I think that's what I mean. When you plot multiple shifts in camera paths, you generally get sharp shifts in direction as the camera moves smoothly along one path, reaches the end, then begins another. It should be possible to plot out a bunch of vector paths for the camera from A to B to C to D, etc, then have iClone interpolate a smooth path for the camera that passes through each point.
Ok, one more thing... some vector based controls for things like particle effects. Let me point those things visually instead of trying to wrap my head around the numbers on the side bar. Those should be there for fine tuning primarily. |

| Thanks for the feedback. It is always appreciated. If you look at the link below, I think you'll find that Interesting Fact #4 will help you with your second point. This will be part of iClone4, due to be released this coming week.

| Hi I'm fairly new to iClone having used antics3d version5 a lot and not got on with your version3...
I've been looking for where to post some questions and suggestions about paths...I hope this is the right place.
1...So first I would like to say it's great to have the addition of paths in iClone4. Its a facility that worked very well in antics.
I notice that the way the tutorial video looks and works is somewhat different to the way my trial download works, (still a trial because I am assessing this software to see if I can use it for a feature length project)... Is there a reason for this?
2...I also so notice that the characters only follow the direction of the paths but their feet do not actually attach and follow to the path. So if I want them to go up and down they won't do so. I realise they have some ability to follow terrain. I suppose what I am wondering is could paths be used as a way of getting even better elimination of the feet floating syndrome which was impossible bad in iClone 3 but still a bit there in version 4.

That's it for now... Nic
Ps where would I post about how the forum subjects etc are organised?? |
