hi, very surprised that it is a free update, so untypical reallusion ;-) is this because of the excellent offerings of the 2 other competitors with machinima software? anyway, great. maybe you get me back as customer.

tried for 10 min to find the download link, but was just redirected between pages. so, where can I download the upgrade?

Hi,

To access the upgrade options for 3DXchange you need to do the following:

Once you login to your Premium Members page you will see a screen like this.

On the left side of the screen will be the options as seen below. Select Registered Programs.

Then Select iClone.

You will then see the iClone Registered Products list like the picture below.

From here click on Details for 3DXchange to display Product Information which includes the upgrade button for v2.0.

I hope this makes things a little clearer.

Thank you. The problem is: it is not there under registered programs. I did try to re-register, but the serial number is already registered. a case of bad luck I assume.

Hi Dekknavn,

I'm sorry to hear about your problems getting the upgrade.

I take it you mean that 3DXchange is not listed on your members page but iClone is. Is it possible that you registered products using different member names?

If you know for sure that you registered the product under your current username then you will have to contact support about this for a resolution. You can do so using the support form but sadlly it will probably be after the weekend before you get a reply now.

The fact will always remain that you can't please all the people all the time, but I would find it hard to fathom that Reallusion hasn't pleased the masses with it's latest releases. The FREE upgrade for 3DXchange 2.0, and the FREE upgrade to iClone v2.5 both offer many new features that many companies would have charged a fee for. These are the most generous upgrades I've seen in any program given the advancements provided in each of them! With the new Google sketchup importing function in 3DXchange, you are now enabled to practically obtain every prop under the moon. I find the concept of Reallusion offering such a feature most unselfish, and it clearly defines that their intention is to empower the user. Surely they could have stopped at the capabilities granted with 3DXchange v1, but instead they continued development with no additional expense passed on to existing purchasers of 1.0. It is a smooth operating brilliant interface, and I would have GLADLY paid for this ability to add most any prop to the storyboard from free downloads offered on google. I was making a prop using the building blocks the other day, and though it was achievably done, it took much time, and I looked up that very same prop on Google, imported it in 3DXchange, and almost instantly had it on my iclone screen. I have also found items that would have required that you buy the full version of sketchup, or create in 3DS Max which carries an unreachable price for most folks to incorporate in iClone, but thanks to 3DXchange those programs are not needed. The pricing on this feature is beyond reasonable, and if you had v1.0 you certainly can't ask for better than FREE! Kudos to Reallusion for such a generous upgrade! Thank You!

I downloaded and installed 3DXchange 2.0 last night, and I have to agree with what Rainman said. I would have been more than happy to have paid for this upgrade. Just having the ability to export selected objects makes it worth while. Combined with the direct import/export of SketchUp models, being able to edit them in SketchUp and return to 3DXchange makes this software worth its Bits and Bytes in gold. And all of this for 1.xx users for FREE, I've seldom seen any company making such an advanced upgrade available at no cost to users of a previous version.

Thank you very much Reallusion.
