Hello,
I have an interesting issue, i need to tint the colour of some eyes, the eyes i like the look of for this character are the Comic_06 eyes, the problem is the character is wearing glasses, and i need to have the eyes appear the same blue as the glasses, as there is no actual colour on the eyes picked, the hue does nothing. but i would need the white and the pupil to change colours to a tint of blue. how can i modify the eyes and re import them?

Hi,

The comic eyes you are trying to use are black and white which is why you are having problems getting them to change colour. If you use any of the other eyes you will be able to adjust the hue and saturation to get the desired effect. You can also import your own custom eye image and use that instead.

If you really want to use the Comic_06 eyes then you could quickly add the eyes to your character. Press "Print Screen" to copy the screenshot to the clipboard. Then open your image editor, paste in the screenshot and cut out the eyes. Edit them to the required tint and then import these back into Crazytalk. A bit long winded but it can be done this way.

You can't export the eyes as .CTP files. This is an internal format used by Crazytalk.

If you wish to use the Comic_06 eyes you will need to use the method I descibed above. Pressing "Print Screen" on your keyboard will take a screenshot of your Crazytalk window and you can then paste this into an image editor and make the changes to the eyes. You can then save them as a JPG (or any supported format) and Import them into Crazytalk again.

According to the Help files on eyes for CT6, which is incorrect, although it follows the convention of importing images as eye modifications as CT5 allowed and which worked in CT5.

The Help files need to be updated for CT6, as the method shown is similar to CT5, but it only allows importing of PAK files, not images.

Hi Cricky,

The instructions in the Help Guide for Crazytalk 6 are correct but maybe not clear on the location of the Import button. It is found on the Modify -Eyeball tab. This button allows you to import an image file just as CT5 did. You can see the button in the image below.
