| | G'day to you all, how are you going? My name is Christina and I live in Australia :-) I just bought crazy talk 6 and I am in love with it already :-) I just made my first model, of a bear and I did the eyes and the mouth and I saved it to my desktop. But I am having trouble with the mouth. Namely, I stuffed it up big time and I can't figure out how to fix it :-( What I did was, I somehow managed to get the wire fitting that goes around the mouth all mixed up, and now it looks like the blue lines are all zig-zagged across the mouth. I can't get them back straight, into the shape that will fit around the mouth. Each time I try to fix it, the blue lines in the wire fitting just go more zig zaggy. Now I have a bear with a zig zag shaped mouth. Not a good look!
I know that technically I should delete my bear and start the whole thing again, but I spent hours doing the eyes of the bear just how I like them, and now he is so cute that I can't bear to delete him. If I delete him and start again, I would never get the eyes back how I have them now, as I can't remember the exact steps I did to get the eyes like that, as it tooks me ages. How greatly I would appreciate it if someone out there could tell me how to fix the mouth, or how to undo just the mouth bit and do the mouth again. Thanks heaps to everybody, I do really appreciate it a lot :-) Kind Regards, from Christina in Australia :-) |

| | Hi Christina, If you really don't want to start again then all you can do is to try and rearrange the mouth fitting points to recover the correct shape. It sounds like you currently have the fitting points badly out of place, possibly criss-crossing each other to cause the zig zagging. Switch to Close Mouth Points and then Detailed Facial Mode so that you have all the fitting points showing and begin to shape them back into a mouth shape. Don't worry too much at this stage about fitting properly to the bears mouth but just try to get back to a general mouth shape.
If you have the points correctly positioned there should be smooth lines between the points with no zig-zagging. Once you regain the initial shape, you can begin to fit them back to the image of the bear. Give it a try and see how you get on. If it proves impossible to regain the mouth shape, you will have to start again sadly.

| | Hello, and thank you so very much for your your advice, I really appreciate it :-) I will go and try it right now in fact! Somewhere in the crazytalk instructions, I saw these keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Z | Undo. | Ctrl + Shift + Z | Redo. |
Would you happen to know what they are for? Do you think that I could try doing one of those things to try and undo the mouth? Thanks so much for all your help, I really aapreciate it a lot |

| | Undo will work while you are working on the head but once you save a project or model and leave Crazytalk 6 you can no longer undo the previous steps when you come back. If you find you make a mistake when creating your talking head then simply hit CTRL-Z to go back to the previous step. You can set the total number of steps you can undo in Preferences (Hammer icon top right). The default is 20 times.

| | Hello, and thank you so much for telling me that, I would have gone crazy trying to figure that one out! I am slowly starting to get the mouth back into the basic mouth shape. But there are 2 problems: 1) when I move the left nose point, the left side of the mouth goes up too, as if they are connected somehow, and, 2) the lips look like the normal lip shape now- except on the top left of the top lip, there is a line going down that I can't get rid of. It looks like my bear has a hair lip and needs an operation. Oh how I love my bear! Can I pay one of you to fix the mouth for me? |
