Hi, anyone have any experience with Crazy Talk 5.1 freezing?  It's been fine for 10 months from initial purchase, now suddenly it's freezing.  I'm in touch with Support, but frankly I'm a bit confused. They're alluding to "deficient system resources" but I'm not sure why or how or what that can be.  My equipment is new and reasonably powerful.  IClone operates without a hitch.  I tried re-install to no avail.  Thanks in advance.

Dave

Hi Dave,

If you have the Temporary Folder option in Preferences set to System Disk, make sure that you don't have a lot of old files cluttering up your temporary folders. Although temporary folders should be cleared by the OS, you can find files remain and can have an impact on software such as Crazytalk that makes use of temporary storage.

Also check you have plenty of free hard disk space on your computer and that it has been defragmented recently. Look also to see if you have installed any software recently that starts up automatically at bootup and sits in memory. Sometimes one of these can cause a conflict. Try shutting down all unneeded programs before starting Crazytalk 5 to see if you can eliminate the cause that way.

Peter, I will try all.  Most importantly, thanks for the suggestions,

Peter, not to worry.  This is a friendly and just an FYI update.  Tried EVERYTHING you graciously suggested (and all that Norton 360 had to offer in terms of cleaning etc, etc) to no avail.

I'd say, at this point, it's "throw in the towel" time, and we'll chalk it up to "curious."  "Support" is on the case, too.

Maybe iClone 4 plus CT6 will get along better.  And, my latest character doesn't absolutely have to flutter her eyeballs, does she?

thanks for your time and help,

Dave
