Hi Peter - thanks for your patience.  I completely understand what you're saying but the problem is that no matter how much I zoom out, the helper rolling prop is not there.  Even when I use the camera view to look at it specifically, it's not there.  The banking one is fine - no problems.  Is this what you have in your scene manager?

Hi,

You are quite right that the Rolling Helper doesn't show in the Preview Window like the Banking Helper. It should be remembered that these helpers were designed for iClone2 and so problems can be encountered when using them with iClone3.

A much better method in iClone3 is to create your own helpers that do exactly the same thing as the downloadable iClone2 versions. Full instructions can be found in the help guide (Press F1) under Set - Prop - Creating Animation Helper. Give this a try and see if it helps you solve the problem.

Thanks Peter - shame it doesn't work in 3. I'll give that a try.

I've been using this method and it's good for what it does.  But what if you want a more complicated motion. The plane a few messages earlier is going in circles - try doing a figure eight and see how hard it is to avoid jerking motion.

Suggestions appreciated.

Hi,

Not sure if you have seen the section in the Online Help Guide which covers creating your own Helpers. Once you have gained experience with this method, you can create some really advanced helpers that can fit most needs.

If you haven't seen this part of the help guide you can find it under;

Set - Prop - Creating Animation Helper

Thank you. I can imagine how that might be what I'm looking for.  It's not exactly point and click, looks like a project in itself to figure it out.  I'll give it a shot.

Like everything else in iClone there is the surface stuff, easy to use right away.  Then when you dig deeper it just keeps on getting more involved.  Guess that's the attraction.

I tried to download the zip files, but the files are invalid.  Where can I find a valid copy of these?  Thanks.
