| | Hi Had a look around the forum but was not able to find a thread that could give a guide as what sort of system spec is recommended to run the new iC4 when released. Any info with regards this would be helpful. Also is it going to be Vista friendly and not keep asking for permission to run as does iC3. I know you can disable the UAC but that also knocks out a lot of other stuff on my pc.

| | Hi Duchess, The system requirements for iClone4 are the same as iClone3. So if your current system runs IC3 well then you can expect the same performance when you upgrade to IC4. The final release version is not yet available but iClone4 is designed for Vista so you can expect the software to load up without any major nagging from the UAC.

| I agree, guys.
We could all benefit from more information about getting the most out of iClone.
Really, there ought to be no reason that Reallusion's developers can't provide us a solid foundation in this.
I'm curious about performance boosts due to hardware as well as software.
- Will iClone run better under Win7?
- Will high-end gaming engines based upon Nividia and AMD cards deliver a better experience?
- Does there come a point at which one pays too much for power hardware for too little added performance?
Enquiring minds, as they say in the tabloids, want to know.

Hi Peter, Would you happen to know if IC4 will have 64bit Vista/win7 support? Jay iClone4 will support Windows 7, in fact iClone3 currently runs extremely well on W7 too. When it comes to 64bit, it is still under consideration for separate 32bit and 64bit versions. More will be known soon and any announcement will be made at release time.

| | Peter, could you please ask Reallusion to discuss the relative benefits of various levels of graphics hardware? |

| | Even with iClone 3 still being a 32-bit app, moving to a 64-bit OS (Vista) has made a huge difference for me, due the fact that not all apps and the OS fight for the same 4GB space. Multiple cores help as well (I built a system based on the Intel i7), even though iClone does not use them optimally (at least that is my experience with the i7). Traditionally, video and 3D applications have always required workstation-like systems for the optimal performance. I'm not a gamer, but I am grateful for the gaming community for pushing for the kind of improvements in hardware we can benifit from today.

| One of the perpetual questions I have had since being introduced to iClone 2 has been what off the shelf PCs and in particular laptops will run iClone well. I know many here 'build' their systems but I would rather purchase an off the shelf system and with laptops building is not an option. Any feedback on available machines is appreciated.
Thanks
