My sincere thanks to John Martin and Charles Chen for agreeing to sponsor the upcoming (November) Machinima Expo in Second Life. In addition to helping with logistical support, Reallusion will be providing the prizes for all of the jury winners at the festival.

Jury Grand Prize: copies of iClone 4 Pro + Crazy Talk 6 Pro

5 Jury Prizes: copies of iClone 4 Standard

Asian Jury Prize: copy of Crazy Talk 5 Standard

Reallusion has always been supportive of the Machinima community, but their help in
making this second Machinima Expo festival a success is above and beyond the call.

Thank you so much, Reallusion!

For more information (and I encourage you to submit your film) about the Expo, visit our blog. Be sure to read the entry requirements (very simple). And even if your film isn't selected for the jury competition, we'll be screening selected films all during the event in a separate area. Panels, workshops, Premiere's; we'll have a full day of Machinima fun at this year's Expo.

Fantastic news!  I'm hoping to submit something, and am most definitely planning on attending.  Getting into Second Life (as a complete newbie to SL) last year was simpler than I expected and it was fun to interact with so many fellow machinimators and watch the fantastic movies selected for the showcase.

Looks great.  I have no idea how "Second Life" works and if I can get to be involved with it but I'm going to give it a try.

Worse things that happens is I don't turn up LOL

Fortunately, Second Life is a free download.  Getting to the event itself is easy - they will provide a url to click on, and it will launch Second Life and take you directly to the location.  Last year someone graciously provided a cheatsheet on common controls in SL (like how to walk!).
