| | That was a fast reply, thank you. I am trying to get the hang of iClone and it is fun, but not easy... |

| I have to agree very much to all that has been posted here, and have to say the production diary Animatechnica is currently writing is absolutely great - that's the kind of detailed documentation I would like to see for every feature of iClone!
I've printed the manual out and studied every page - and yes, while it touches on all the great things iClone is capable of, it doesn't really show you how the little steps work. I might add, for your consideration, that the german manual is shorter and gives less information - I'm happy that I'm fluent in english, otherwise I would've felt very helpless! Plus I worked with other machinima tools and sfx programs using the keyframe system, and even if iClone is much more sophisticated and offers loads more possibilities, it nonetheless helped me with some of the more basic things in iClone. I hesitate to think about how an absolute newbie feels when he opens the program for the first time! Anyhow, I had (and still have) to pester long-time iClone users with lots of questions!
As for the animations (moves) - I would love to be able to make my own - so I loaded an iClone walk (the famous runway one) on a dummy and another dummy on which I tried to copy the movements step by step - I failed miserably. Yep, I managed to copy some of the movement, but it's jerky as hell, lacking all the nice fluidity. So I'm saving my pennies to buy motion packs.... and hope for the better motion editing Paumanok West mentioned...
