Is there any way to make the time line marker line thicker, heavier, more visible? I like to follow the marker during playback to identify where a particular sound is being 'facially' created - in order to fine tune the facial expression. At the moment the line is impossible to see during playback - and even fast pausing at an appropriate point -it is still difficult to see properly.

There isn't currently a preference setting to change it. I'll forward your suggestion to the Crazytalk team for review to see if anything can be done in this area to improve visibility.
