i am having problem exporting to wmv and opening project, when i try to open finished project,it says can not open project, would you like to find something on the web to open this file.the file it comes up with is reg cure.i can export to avi, with no problem.
if i right click on the project i made,i can open and watch it using windows media player.
this problem started after using windows live safety scanner for vista,i think one of the problems it found in windows registry and removed must have caused this problem.
how do i resolve this issue?
i have also noticed that both avi and wmv file size are very large,5.6 mb project files are now 89.6 mb.duplicated some of the crazytalk projects i had created to check my results.

It sounds like you just need to reassign a program to open your .wmv files.

Right Click on the exported .wmv file and choose Properties.

You will see a button marked Change alongside Opens With. (See image below)

Just click the Change button and choose Windows Media Player from the list of options.

If it isn't there then click Browse and navigate to it. Remember to put a tick in the box that says: "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

Click OK and you are done.

i did a clean install of all software, including windows os,just to be on the safe side.

i figured it would be easier and safer to start from scratch, just time comsuming reinstalling everything.

thanks for the info,i will know what to check if problem happens again.
