| bmailsjc (10/12/2009) It s unclear to me wether iClone 4 ships with the popvideo converter software. If I upgrade to iClone 4 would I also have to purchase the converter software?
Yes.
But there is currently a bundle of iC4 Standard with Pop Video, which helps with the price a bit.
(However, I could only see buying Standard as a secondary workplace copy of iClone, good for doing general-purpose work--because who in their right mind would want to be without all the features of Pro?) |

| So I would need to spend an additional $100 to add popvideo converter? I would need video converter to add my own greenscreen videos?
Thanks in advance. |

| The issue of how to convert greenscreen video into alpha channel video was discussed tonight on The Wolf & Dulci Show. The sense of the conversation with CloneBot Zack was that actually greenscreen to alpha needs to happen in some video editor such as Premiere, but some fact checking would be needed to get a definitive answer.
PopVideo, if this is true, comes in at the next stage to combine video elements in iClone or to make transparent widgets.
(I don't have PopVideo yet, myself, sorry.)
Obviously we need a clear explanation. Reallusion or one of our more knowledgeable forum members will be able to set us straight. |
