Motion Paths was the feature I wanted most. I see they used the HDRI for displaying it but I sure hope it isn't limited to use in there but is a global feature. I really need this feature for the characters.

The single most important thing RL can do to improve iClone is to improve motion editing.

Everything else is merely fun and convenient by comparison.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm thinking of upgrading and buying the bundle deal. Would that too qualify for the FREE upgrade to iClone 4? Does Reallusion have a 30 days satisfaction guarantee or what is the refund policy.

I take back everything I said in my first post, after listening last night to the live broadcast on the "Wolf & Dulci show" all I can say is,

BRING ON ICLONE4 ITS AWESOME!!!!!

I can't say enough how excited we were to watch the iClone 4 demo & preview - my jaw still hurts from dropping on the floor so many times. The changes/updates are HUGE!

It was said that CT6 would be compatible with next version of iClone. That next version would be 4.0 so I assume it is.

I also found out that if you upgrade to iClone now you will have to pay again for the upgrade to 4.0 when it is released. Apparently Reallusion is going to make a distinction between full and upgrade purchases. This is a new one for me. Usually software companies are advertising to hurry up and upgrade to be eligible for the free upgrade. I guess sales are jumping and Reallusion doesn't need to entice their user base?

If you take the time to read this page, you will see that there is a free upgrade offer for new users.

Yep, and that is just what it says...its a free upgrade for new users. Previous uses wanting to upgrade are not included in the free upgrade deal. Its not usually the ways things are done but it is Reallusion's call. If you upgrade to 3 now you will still have to pay to upgrade it again in 30 days...

As iClone4 is scheduled for release next month, if you haven't already upgraded to iClone3 then it will make financial sense to hold off on the upgrade until iClone4 is released. That way you will only pay the upgrade charge once.

I've been through quite a few software upgrades but this is the first one that I have been through that didn't include or try to convince the community to upgrade now to take advantage of the free upgrade. It is sort of like a security thing that don't worry about the upcoming release and hold off buying or even buying at the higher price but buy now and you will be getting the next version when released and the advantage is that you will buying at the current price. That is usually the sales pitch...

Since there isn't any incentive for me to upgrade I will wait till SR1 or SR2 to make a decision once all the hype dies down. There is a few real time render engines on the horizon too. I believe Nvidia showcased the worlds first interactive ray tracing render engine at Siggraph 2009. This might be a good wait and see cooling off period.
