I'm trying to import SKP files via 3DXchange and everytime I import even the simplest files (a 5" cube) the 3DXchange program says, "Import file error" and the import fails. I have tried this with a simple cube first, then again with the cube grouped and then finally with the single cube in the model as a component. I am using the most current version of Sketchup 7 (just double-checked that).

   However, I can successfully import models from Google's 3D Warehouse, even some very complex ones, and some rather old ones (from 2007) with no problem. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

   I was just watching a YouTube video on this process and it mentiones that you have to save your SKP files as Sketchup v6, not v7 for it to work. I just tried it and it imported just fine.
