I am getting ready for a long vacation. I wanted to take the All in One computer with me and use iClone5. I just cannot manage to get Windows to work on it and if I want I can buy a copy of Windows 8.1 which I heard is not a real good OS. Anyone know about it? I also have a Netbook but it will not work with iClone5. I may manage to take it and use it for Internet. I will have to sleep on that tonight. If anyone has any information about Windows 8.1 working with iClone5 please let me know. It will be on the All in One so I won't be able to use iClone6. I haven't checked out Daz 3D on the Netbook. I may check that out tonight. Ken

let me put it to you this way.... the reason they made the upcoming version of windows version 10, is because they wanted to distance themselves that much from 8 windows 8 is like windows 7 with enhanced bugs and an obfuscated interface even bill gates uses windows 7 over windows 8... http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/gates-spends-entire-first-day-back-in-office-trying-to-install-windows-8-1some people like it though, but then some people like pain ...live and let whatever - just don't do it in my yard!

Now I need to find a good copy of Windows 7. They all seem to have disappeared.

yeah, microsoft pulled windows 7 and 8 to force the issue with Windows 10. http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2014/10/31/windows-8-windows-7-sales-end/you can still get it on ebay, newegg and walmart ( and other non mainstream type stores ) an innovative way to get it, is to call your repair guy or the local shop and tell him you'd give him cash for a copy He can probably get one quick from a dead computer. ^.^

Microsoft is missing a good chance for a lot of money if they would just put Windows7 back on the market. Everyone with Windows 8.1 would be after it. Ken

Well I can say I pretty much disagree with everything you have written there. It's good to see you haven't let facts get in the way of a good story. I use Windows 8.1 on all but one of my computers (far too many of them as my wife often complains) and it is steady as rock. No bugs, never crashes, and all my software including iClone 5 and 6 run great on it. As to the new interface, well that is of course personal choice. I tend to stick to the Desktop on my Desktop (if you know what I mean) but love the touch friendly interface on my Surface Pro 3 and other touch screens. For me I haven't missed Windows 7 in the slightest so there.

I know I hate Windows 8.1 as just this week my wife's new Logitech G430 Gaming Headset quit working. After removing and reinstalling USB drivers and trying 20 different things along with talking to tech support at Logitech, they finally admitted their headset is not Win8.1 compatible. So i called Razr to buy another headset and they too said any of their USB connected headsets DO NOT WORK with Windows 8.1 and asked if I could downgrade to Win 7 or Win 8. They also didn't sound too promising for a fix as they are focused on Win10. I like Vista better than Win 8 and Win 8.1 ts
