Yea its a tech demo I guess but I never once thought about the tech. Instead I kept thinking about what a cool little story idea it was and how much I wish I had come up with the simple idea of a boy chasing his kite. Good stuff.I have always enjoyed "shorts," and my iClone hobby has made me truly appreciate them much more fully. I love how they are able to tell a compelling story, and usually without any dialogue at all. Add to that story the acting (animation), camera angles and wide shots and close-ups, lighting, set design and decoration, art work (color schemes, etc.), music and sound effects... many of these 3 to 7 minute videos are true works of art, and are genuine masterpieces.
Knowing it was a tech demo to showcase Unreal Engine 4 and the Nvidia Titan X capabilities, even while enjoying it I kept thinking to myself, "If I tried to do this in iClone..."
They started with 100 square-miles of terrain. Wow.
iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity...
