After my last post about the 19% VAT scandal I have been searching the Internet for quality models to use in Iclone 3 and have found two sites offering very high quality models. TurboSquid offer a large amount of free models and 3Drt offer some fantastic packs one of which is Fantasy Village Kit which im on the verge of getting but would like to know would this pack work WELL with Iclone as other models iv used can come apart at the seems when converted. So has anyone used this pack with good results.

Thanks far any advice on this ...

Ho yeah and there is also a lot of 3d character sets sold on 3drt can anyone tell me how easy it would be to rig these up to work in Iclone CHeeers....

Hi bluemidget666,

3Drt have stock in the Reallusion store already in iClone format. If the pack you are after isn't there yet try contacting them to see if they plan to submit it to the RL store (which would save you the conversion process from other formats.)

Rigging up characters would take place in 3Dmax via the RL pluggin rather than directly in iClone.

Turbosquid also have supplied iClone format content in the past.

I think under the new license agreement for selling content you could check if the sites you mention are going to sell iclone format content from their sites as well as the RL store.

Have fun, hope comments help, DT

Hi

Yeah but buying through them would at least save me the 19% VAT which can be considerable if I were to buy say £250 worth of models which is what im looking at now. I still intend to use backstage to buy as I can pick what elements I need without feeling the VAT to much.

As for the rigging of some character models from 3DRt is there any tutorials on how to do this and would I lose lipsync and stuff as in the cartoon masters collection.

Thanks for the feed back

....

Advice? There two great sites which offer content without the 19% VAT. Clones2go and Coolcreators have some fantastic content. Have you looked at these two site? I bet as well as the minus 19% VAT they are by far cheaper too!!!

You must remember that to buy back stage points you have to to get these through Element 5.  So for example - 1000 back stage points cost £6.77 plus 19% = £8.06.
