properly set up is the clincher there
FBX is better for many reasons but sady DAZ studio FBX exporter makes a dogs breakfast of preloads of many sets with parenting and objects with 0,0,0 hotpoints.
obj I get the annoying 100% bump issue too I have yet to solve
I mostly now just remove ALL bump as most stuff uses too many resources with it anyway bogging down scenes, I can always re-add on obvious stuff that uses it anyway like brickwork or cobblestones, in fact I often re-texture those anyway.
the Parkside stuff especially would benefit as again Jack is a vendor who loves lots of separate maps for everything even each wall.

@45thdiv,

To get a screen shot on a Windows PC just press the "Print" key - it should be to the right of the F1-F12 keys. Next open something like Photoshop, Gimp etc. and create a new image from the clipboard contents. If you don't have an imaging software installed then you can do the same with Windows Paint - you can find that in either Accessories or Windows Accessories.

Once in the image software you can save it as a JPG, BMP or PNG file for uploading in a post.

Information on how to upload an image in a post is available here.

Thanks Gerry.   I will do this when I get home today.  I do not have a photo editor yet, but I do have paint.
