Smaug the dragon needs to brush his teeth and use some mouth wash... lol

First 7 scenes are finished. I added some sound effects and music to them. Sounds good. Looks good too. Only 7 more scenes to go.

Hard to believe that is the dragon from the Legend of Dragon pack which is quite old now. He used to have fairly smooth skin. See boys and girls, this is what happens when you don't wash your face. It gets all dry and scaly.

That save feature happened again. My entire computer froze up. I had to shut it down and restart it. Once again when I restarted iClone 6 it told me there was some unsaved data. I did not lose anything... I am so excited I can not express it in words. I have lost hours and hours of work over the years from crashes.. This is the best feature ever. I wish all my other programs had the same ability.

My video editor (Cyberlink Power Director 12) has it and I've always loved it there...but now Iclone has it. As Stimpy would say..."I'm so happy I can barely contain myself!"

A problem has come up. I was going over the rules just before submitting the video when I read, "Do not include any third party music"

Uh-Oh. I have used lots of royalty free 3rd party music. I think we are going to be disqualified. The video will sound terrible without any music.

I can submit up to 15 videos so I think I will submit it as is with all the music and sound effects. Then I think I will strip it down and just submit it with vocals and my own vocalized sound effects. That is going to sound bad, but I guess we gotta do what we gotta do.

This is going to be a very interesting video. We can not use any of our purchased sound effects so over the next couple days we are going to try and create our own sound effects. This should be interesting. Luckily it is supposed to be nearly 70 degrees today which is unheard of in the middle of winter so we should be comfortable outside throwing rocks around trying to create some totally cool noises.

Anyone have any experience making their own sound effects? Got any suggestions? My video takes place underground in a dwarvin hall filled with gold, broken rocks and a dragon.

Can't wait to show off the video. My daughter makes a very cute Bilbo... lol

Our video entry into the #HobbitChallenge contest has been submitted. It was a lot of fun. My daughter and I bonded immensely. Please watch it and let me know what you think. We had to make all the sound effects ourselves so it was all done vocally, in our garage with a box of rocks from the yard and on my daughter's cello. The sounds were then altered in Audacity for effect. Hope you like it.

We had to recreate a specific scene from the Hobbit movie. We could change how it looked a bit but we had to use their exact dialog and it had to be 2 minutes or less. The animation was done in iClone 5 and then re-textured in iClone 6. Then post edited in Hitfilm Ultimate 2. I used Audacity for the sounds and voices and Photoshop to make the textures on the dragon, the stones and the treasure.

Dragon's fire breath was pretty spectacular (As expected )
