I'm trying to animate this angry kitty's face, and the eyes just never look right. I've tried, and tried, and tried... When aligning the points for the eyes, should the points be just inside the inner edige, just outside the edge or lined up as best as possible along the edge? When he blinks, it's overly obvious the texture is smearing...

Try using the Default SPYDOG Avatar character from CT5 as an example of dot placement.

The general rule for the eye setting is as follows:

If you are not using virtual eyes, but retaining the eyes in the original picture, move the control points outside the eyelids to create an even more realistic blinking action.

If you are using eyes from the CrazyTalk eye library, you need to set the eye control points inside the eyelids. This improves the realistic quality of the animated eyes.

Uhm.. Hi I am a total newbie so forgive me plz if I asked my question in the wrong section.

Since this topic is about eyes I have a question.. Can I create my own eyes for use with CrazyTalk using photoshop, poser or DS? Or are there eye-packs I can download somewhere?

Hi Charley,

You don't say which version of Crazytalk you are using but if it is version 6 then please refer to the link below. This details all the eye features of Crazytalk and explains how to create custom eyes. This should help you.

Hi Peter Thanks for your reply and link.

I have CT 6.1

As for the import button: It only allows me to import files with the extension .pak (or is there another importbutton I have overlooked?)Thanks again,
