| Thanks go out to all for the comments. I have actually been waiting for a set of characters which were low enough in poly to allow iClone to not bog down when so many were added to a single project.
The Cartoon Masters Characters were a perfect fit for this. They don't have the mouth cavity, which is roughly 1/3 of a standard characters size, so the number of characters could have been higher if needed.
This is a full single project with Particle Illusion elements added at the end of production. Other than that the entire project was pretty much done by iClone3. I realize the speed was a bit fast for some of the moves, but I had a goal of making it all fit into a single project without stitching multiple projects in after edits. All camera movements were done using the Switcher feature. The moving "iClone3" symbol across the water was done using bump mapping to a water diffused plane. The Motions were either from stock iClone motions or from a few Motion Layer edits enhancing them.
The board was made from individual squares built and edited then merged into a multiple player board. I have actually played one of the people making an earlier comment here through Skype, while they called out their moves in a peer-to-peer session. The players were animated separately for the actual project seen in the video, but were not from the actual game played because I wouldn't want to embarrass them and their loss record while playing.... (Just kidding, they lost just as expected )
The game is based on an Old Parker Brothers game board called, "All the King's Men", which I have an original version of. The characters are from the Reallusion Content Store, and the game play is based strictly on following the rules of the original game. It Looks easy, but it takes just as much, if not more strategy to play than Chess does.
The board is a game, but the animation and movie are all iClone.
Once agian, Thanks to all, and
Cricky (Leave me a voice mail if you like.)
