| Hi Peter,
Yes, you correctly identified my problem.
Shy Girl did, too, but I didn't understand the difference between a project file and a prop file.
Simply importing the prop into Accessories from the Prop folder works.
It seems so simple now but clearly I found it confusing.
So how does this all shake down?
I assume that props, accessories, and project files all use the .VNS file format.
Is there any practical significance to the capitalization case which appears in the .VNS / .vns extension?
Or is there any way to tell which kind of file one has in one's folders?
I just want to avoid this nonsense in the future.
I'll write Support and tell them what happened.
(Because someone else might make the same mistake) |

| | Hi again, I'm pleased to hear that you have been able to get the accessory to work properly now. All the content in iClone uses the .VNS extension for its files. It makes no difference if the extension is lower case .vns or upper case .VNS so don't worry about that. Project files are a compilation of all the assets you have assembled, be it characters, props, accessories, motions etc. There is no way of knowing which type of .VNS file you have in file form so it is important to maintain the folder structure of iClone and keep everything organized that way. Once you get used to saving items under the correct category such as Props, Accessories you should have no problems. It is easy to get confused at first but it all becomes clearer and easier with practice. Pete
