| I am trying to create a custom accessory, but the file isn't recognized as valid by iClone.
Maybe I forgot the correct procedure.
I can't find documentation for this anywhere.
I created the accessory as a prop using 3D primitives.
Then I tried to copy the prop .VNS file into the Accessories folder.
The prop icon appears in the Accessories panel, but when I click it, I get an "Invalid file" error. |

| Oh, let me clarify.
I created the prop using 3D primitives totally within iClone.
I thought there was a way to create accessories from props like this? |

| once you save the prop to your custom folder, go to accessories, click on modify then import accessory and locate the prop you just created and attach it to the proper location

| As far as I can tell, I am following the standard procedure for using a prop as an accessory, but iClone doesn't recognize the file as a valid accessory file -- even though it's fine as a prop.
I've uploaded the prop file here:
http://generalpicture.com/animation/collar2.vns
Could someone take a look at this and help me figure out why it's defective?

| | Very weird.....however, I did get it to work with a bit of fiddling. I opened your link as a Project file, then saved it as a Prop. I then cut and pasted it into my accessories folder, double clicked it and it opened. Hope this helps Shy

| Shy girl,
Thanks for looking into this.
Interesting that you can open my prop as an accessory, but I can't.
I've created at least three other props from the same model, and every time I double-click on it as an Accessory icon, I get an invalid file message.
Peter, could you please get me some advice from Reallusion on the downloadable file (see above)?

| Please ignore my request for help in the forum, just above.
I've opened a support ticket, instead, and uploaded the problem file with it.
Thanks |
