Hello folks, I started with CT5 a while back and recently downloaded the EX Iclone trial version and to say that I'm convinced is an understatement.

Over the last few days, I've been surfing this site like its the only one on the net to learn what packs are available and to ID various things we'll be purchasing to build our "3D Arsenal."

Cutting to the chase, I'm a producer with 56 years in the industry.  I take production very seriously and I do a lot of it.

Several years back, I tried Poser and, frankly, it was way over my head.  In my opinion, 3D animation is taking over the production world.  I've seen all "shapes and sizes" including the "ani houses" in South Korea, Japan and India.  I've also received a mountain of animation bids for various things I've produced over the last 20 years or so, from simple opening pieces to full blown animated chimps.  Its never failed to amaze me the variations in costs depending on the entity making the bid.

We would like to build a strong team to complete a series of animated films.  We know the distribution world as well as the marketing world like the back of our hands. We currently have three completed scripts that have taken years to develop and three more on the drawing board.  Yes, we have storyboards for the first one in line and I'm building storyboards for the others now.  While one of our projects is a short for kids, we are focused on full length feature films with strong storylines.

We have our own studio that we use totally for our own projects.  It is not a rental facility, it is private.  I don't even allow my wife, dog or cat to come into the studio area although I've been considering teaching my grandson some editing but it will be another year or two before he can handle it.  When I say studio, I mean studio....9 digital workstations with every NLE known to man (with the exception of Advil...er, ah Avid which I do not like) Vegas, FCP, PremiereProCS3, Speededit and a few others.  We're loaded down to the max with FX of every type and yes we have Pro Tools as well as my "pets" Sony Acid and Sound Forge.  We are currently at 40 TB of digital storage and growing rapidly.  Seems like I add 3-4 TBs every few weeks lately.  Codecs?  All that are available.  Flash?  You bet.  Dreamweaver?  Can't live without it.  Other software in the studio?  You won't believe it.  Massive to say the least.

Like I said above, we're looking to build a strong production team.  We would like it to be perhaps 2 or 3 folks who have mastered Iclone and CT.  We are easy to work with as long as you possess honor and are a professional of the highest caliber.  That's what we are accustomed to and, at my age, I don't plan on changing.  We're used to working with production crews ranging from 15 to 300 members so it will be a pleasure to build a tight 3-4 person team for 3D animation, IMHO.

If you're a serious Iclone seasoned user, it would be an honor to chat with you.  We're easy to find.  We have offices in Louisiana and California.  www.bobvernon.com and www.bigchief.tv are two of our sites.  We have many more.  My deskphones are 925.754.8833 and 925.476.8131 and my email is bobkat2000@comcast.net.

If you're looking for a fast buck or you want to flash your ego, please don't bother contacting me.  Please don't.

If you want to be part of a successful team of serious, focused media professionals, you're the one I want to talk with.  Don't be bashful, I work 20-22 hours 24/7/365.

Warm regards,

Bob Vernon, Managing Member, Big Chief Entertainment, LLC

Sounds very interesting, but I take it that you only want people that live in the US?

Peter:

Thanks for the kind words.

Looking forward to becoming a real "Iclone pest". I'm crazy about the software and the potential of it.

Hear nothing but good things about you and Iclone.

Thinking about zapping down to my hometown of New Orleans in August to meet you folks. In fact, I sent Wolfzone some info to pass on to ya'll about some great French Quarter hotels a friend of mine owns. If you folks need great rooms in the Quarter contact Wolf. He's got all the info. Or if Wolf is on the road, feel free to email me.

Also, please pass on to your associates that we would like to build a rapport with RL with regards to some serious promoting of your software in conjunction with our films. We have major distribution.

We've also hear ramblings about the upcoming release of Iclone 4. Any release date on that yet? Any nfo on improvements?

Regards,

Bob

Hi Bob,

I will pass on your details to the rest of the team. I'm sure they will be very excited about your plans for iClone. Please keep us informed of your progress here on the forum and by personal message or email if you wish.

Obviously iClone is in continued development but right now we have no release date information on iClone4. The topic below covers the current improvements being worked on plus there will some surprises and additions I'm sure.

Thanks for your interest in iClone. Look forward to hearing more soon.

Peter:

Just wanted to give you a big THANK YOU for passing the word on as you mentioned.

Had the great pleasure of communicating with James Martin today. What a swell guy!

James is not only now on our production team, he is in the position of "team coordinator" and we are indeed honored to have him aboard. We had our first team meeting last evening and it was also delightful.

We've got two more members to add and, hopefully, I'll have added them by the end of the week.

Again, thanks, and I'm trying to get down to my hometown, New Orleans, to catch you guys in August.

Warm regards,

Bob
