| Is there a chance you could add a cell-shading filter to a future version?
(see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_shading)
Preferably with a couple adjustment controls for the style of cell-shading (such as how much the color palette is reduced and the thickness of the 'sketch' outline).
Yes, iClone productions can look darned good for machinima, particularly if one uses good models and props. But sometimes an aspiring movie maker wants to produces something that looks less like an action film and more like Japanese anime!
Further, I can definitely see situations where one might want to have a few cell-shaded characters in an otherwise 'ordinary' rendered world. For example, I've been thinking of a story premise that involves spirits, demons, and other entities. I'd prefer cell shading for them to differentiate them from 'real world' characters.
I know there's been cell-shading filters for Blender for a few years now. But animation in Blender is a real hassle and I'd really like to use iClone instead. |

| | bsperan, I really want cel shading for iClone, too. Have you seen my tutorials on how to simulate this using lighting, texturing, and image processing? |
