I am wondering if anyone is using 3D Coat for making models?
3D coat, I love it ! It is my Swiss Army knife and main developer tool
Substance Painter is only for Painting on a 3D model. (Texturing)
3D coat can many things more. sculpting, Retopo, uv mapping, morphing and texturing 3D painting
3D Coat is very good for sculpting organic stuff but for Hard Surfaces is a Moddleling Programm better , like hexagon .
3D coat is sculpting like sculptris or zbrush. It have a nice UV mapper and a great retopo Tool . The 3D Painter is similar like Substance Painter, but has a lot more Tools like Photoshop .
Also very soon it will have a PBR viewport and materials like in Substance Painter .
exampleBut beware , do not start without the necessary 3D Knowledge , because you will lost in this bunch of Options and possibilities
3D coat is a great Tool if you know what you do .
But that applies to all 3d Aplication, as well
BTW
I had subscribe Maya LT and cancel it again, because Maya LT cost every Month Money and is not better as my tools in my pipeline Hexagon 19 $, DAZ studio and 3D coat.
