I refer to the time very bottom right of the Home Page. The Time says GMT but it is not showing that. I do not know if other members in the UK see what I see or not. The time is 5 hours out allowing for the +1 British Summer Time. Would be interesting to know if its is something to do with my pc or if others see the same. Also the forum does not seem to be refreshing/updating properly.

The forum clock has been wacky for quite a while now, a well known forum moderator - Lord Edwards of Illusion - thanked members for pointing out the problem, and mentioned that the information would be passed on to the unknown IT geek responsible. Aside from this most generous "Thank you", nothing else has happened.

None , but topics in the forum can go off topic ...some end up as general chat and chat boards can be set up in forums now adays, it was just a idea. The forum has not changes in many years now it might be due a update , that was the only point I was making.

I see the same wrong time. Also as mentioned, you can visit the forum...leave...come back 8 hours later and apparently you've been there the whole time. This is new, it used to refresh every hour or so. Maybe it's being done to make it look like there are more people on the forum at any given time then there actually are.

Glad to see that it is not just me I was beginning to think something was up with the old pc. I in someway agree with bluemidget trying to follow a thread and answer is a nightmare. It takes so long to update the thread that there might be 3 sometimes 4 replies before it refreshes and the thread then seems to go off on a tangent. Only thing to do then is a quote reply to make the post you make relevant. Don't think it needs a chat forum though just a faster refresh

I don't think i've ever seen the time on this forum correct lol. but while on that topic, i've been noticing the forum getting more of those sql type errors where you get a bunch of code instead of the forum......I wonder if that's causing a constant restart, thus always resetting the time ?

The time was correct for me before the so-called "clean-up"... I'm on Eastern time and now it's an hour off as if it doesn't take daylight savings time into consideration... What? Things go off topic???!!!

Unfortunately the recent update and movement of our database server has caused the forum timestamp to act up a little. We did make some changes that should have corrected the problem (or at least improved it). Please do check in your Forum Control Panel > Forum Settings to make sure your local timezone is set correctly. Then please do let us know if the date/time of posting is correct and if not, how out of sync it is in your location. Thanks.
