I want to export the general expression (the standby movements) without adding any sound files for speech. How can i do this?

If you output your project to flash video for web then you will have a checkbox which enables you to output the "Standby Video" as well in .flv format.

Alternatively you can setup a simple project using motion clips or puppeteering (but no speech). Then adjust the Intensity Slider to get more subtle movement and export that to any format you like.

Either way will work.
