| Hi. I'm Martok2112, and I just picked up iClone3 SE which came as a bonus feature with Magix Movie Edit Pro 15. I could not pass up the latest version of MEP with this feature.
Although this now feels more like a demo than a full on program (apparently there are limitations to what you can export in SE), I love it. I started learning the clothing creation program so I can start working on CG/physical model fanfilms for some of my favorite sci-fi franchises (Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, etc.)
I look forward to gaining much knowledge from this community, and in time, hope to be able to provide some of my own.
Respectfully,
Martok2112 (Steve)

| Thanks, folks.
I've been making use of the online tutorials on YouTube, and they've greatly helped me out.
I love this program. I will upgrade to the PRO version very soon. I have some ideas for CG fanfilms, and this proggie is gonna be a BIG help!
Appreciate the warm welcome,
Martok2112 (Steve)

| Thank you all for the warm welcomes. In addition to making new friends here, I look forward to learning from your experiences, and sharing any I might have with this awesome program.
To tell you a little about myself, I am a musician by profession. I perform at the Famous Door (and sometimes at Bourbon St. Blues Company and Bourbon Rocks) on Bourbon St. In New Orleans, LA. It is a great job, and it actually allows me to gather the resources I need, at least at a low level, to do the fan projects I seek to do.
Eventually, I'm sure I'll get some of those more expensive modeling programs....but for now, iClone (for the actors and sets end of it) seems to be just what the doctor ordered.
I also work with physical miniature models, and sometimes blend them in with machinima.
This is an example of other work that I do, yes using older versions of Magix Movie Edit Pro (the latest version of which is how I got introduced to iClone 3.2 SE).
The following was done with both die-cast and larger size plastic miniatures, shot against a greenscreen, and composited with both Image Ready (the animation side of older versions of PhotoShop), and an older version of Magix Movie Edit Pro (version 10 I believe). The lasers were added in with ImageReady (a frame by frame process), and the explosions were screencapped and added in as well with ImageReady. (of course, knowing what I know now, I can put a green or blue background behind the explosions, and render them much easier in MMEP15.) Some versions of the ships you'll see were manipulated/cut/pasted with Image Ready, via footage taped from the games Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. The scene with the Corellian Corvette's rotating main solar fin was a stop motion photography shot. The TIE Fighters and some shots of the Corvette were also die-cast minis. Basically, I went completely old school with this. But this is what I do as a hobby sometimes.
