If I import an asset from iClone and then export it to FBX, I cannot find an option to remove textures from the fbx instead of embedding them. I do see the opposite option in the editor.
I can of course go modify the FBX with another editor, but I think I just might be missing something in the processes.
Thanks in advance.

I cannot find an option to remove textures from the fbx This is very easy, use the Delete button in xchange or trash can button in iClone. modify pannel Material / Texture setting

Thanks quick reply! Unfortunately I wasn't clear enough in my question.
I want to preserve the materials as linked materials and have the exporter export the png's into a sub folder, much like it does when you open an FBX.
In deleting material images, it removed all information about the textures.
Does that make sense?

A Texture is a Image (map) that you can load or remove in the material settings . it not matter fbx obj or what ever . Maybe you think too complicated? if you mean Material , this are native programm settings and can not store as "dynamic textures", if you think so . material parameter vary from programm to another programm.

If you want a folder full of those specific textures, can you then just re-import your FBX in 3DX so the folder is created? Kind of a double step, but it collects them for you. Then you could as VIDI said. The end result would be a non textured FBX, and a folder full of textures.
