Maybe it exists already a solution, but if this is not the case, then I would like that iClone had a better Gizmo positioning system, so that, when I zoom in the object with the Gizmo focus, the Gizmo does not disappear from the screen because it is linked to some part of the object that goes out of the camera viewport. Such a solution would significantly speed up the editing process... Roberto

Yes, indeed. Some solution like that would be great. It's a pain when you can't see the gizmo.

The gizmo is, by default, set at the root. IClone actually does not save root translation when a motion is saved, so it can happen that your avatar and its root get separated. You will see this first hand if you un-check the boxes "Align Actor Motion" and "Reset Motion Root" when you import an animation where the avatar moves around. selecting any bone with the "Edit Motion Layer" panel open will center the gizmo on said bone. I used to think it was important to keep the root with the avatar, but figured out the other day that such aligning is done on motion import rather than being saved. Kind of kicking myself now, for not figuring this out earlier. So.... Go ahead and do all your motion editing with the panel open. One solution anyway!

Hi "Rampa" (why ppl do not use their names ? With all the respect, it sounds a little weird to call somebody "Rampa" :-) ),
actually I was pointing to the whole object gizmo. I know that when I open a character move edit control, then I can select the bones and get it back, but what if you zoom the avatar in (so that the gizmo goes out of the camera viewport) and then you realize that you want to change the avatar position or rotate him/her ?
Cheers,
Roberto

Maybe when we click on the Transform or Rotate button, a little Gizmo gadget could appear at that same location (always) at the top of the window, or in a movable/detachable window on its own? Just thinking...

Really ? More difficult than a typical 35-letters Thai name ?

Apparently you get one free name change in Sweden. Then it costs money. http://boingboing.net/2014/07/02/the-worlds-longest-name.htmlAnimagic, I'd be happy to know your name!

I could have changed my name (for free) when I got US citizenship, but I didn't, so I have to live with the consequences of how Americans pronounce my Dutch name, which is "Job Michiel van Zuijlen" (last name "van Zuijlen"). I usually leave out my middle name. I now know the variants, but after I had just arrived in the US I had to get attuned to the ways in which my name could be pronounced.
