Try re-doing your xmas project or does the basic project refuse to save?
As for the rendering to file, I cannot help there it can be so hardware specific. When I first started iClone over a year ago there was talk that switching off anti aliasing would help. I think I had a few problems but then I upgraded the memory to 1GB and have not had that problem since then.
