One of my questions is does iClone take advantage of Duo Core Quad processors?

Next would be when can we expect a 64bit version of iClone?

Take a look at the link below which explains how iClone currently works with Intel processors. This should help explain all you need to know.

There's always the possibility, but no news to tell you on that front yet I'm afraid.

I too am strongly looking at 64 bit especially for video editing using CS4. I think we need a thread specifically for current and soon to be 64 bit users.

actually one of the reasons i went 64 bit - premier CS4 on win vista 32 was excruciatingly slow - i ended up going back to premier pro to edit my 720p video (The Expedition) coz the preview window of CS4 almost like a slideshow

the other reason was the limit on how many characters you can have in once scene with props and sets before iclone starts slowing down- the jungle battle scene (09:27) in my movie above was painful to choreograph since iclone has really bogged down and slow - so had to reduce the characters from 14 down to 8 just so i can see what i am doing

just completed my rebuild this past weekend so i am now on core i7, vista 64 with 6GB RAM - will start playing to see if any improvements on CS4 and iclone

Congratulations, I think you will like it.  I was reluctant using Vista, but the 64-bit version is really nice.  Using my 32-bit XP machine is now kind of painful...
