Hi guys. I have a question. Why is it when I try to make a custom face with a 2D picture that the character always looks nothing like the photo? I have two rappers I am trying to make faces for and cannot get it to look right. Can any of you guys help me?

The whole face thing has been an ongoing problem for me. I recently started used FaceGen but there really are not a whole lot of options that I am looking for in it. However the program itself has massive potential.
Surely there has to be an easier way to make celebrity faces into character heads. Anyone?

EvilGenius, I too feel your pain. I can make some faces look more close to the original pic than others. I was trying to help someone a while back and quickly found that with some patience and trial and error, it can make pretty good caricatures. But not necessarily by me. Let me hunt down the post I am referring too and you will see what I mean. I too am interested in FaceFilter. Did you buy it or are you messing around with the free version? Thanks, theschemer Found it: https://forum.reallusion.com/Topic174159-281-1.aspx#bm174198

I am using FaceGen and not Facefilter.
It is really frustrating. Bone rigging and a better customizable 2D to 3D faces are something I hope the next version addresses.

My mistake. I meant FaceGen. I also have FaceFilter. Do you have the demo or the paid version? I am curious as I sort of want to buy it. Thanks, theschemer

I have the paid version. It really is a good investment however severely lacks in certain areas. For example, clothes and hair. However you can export nudes and then give them clothes in iClone.

My mistake, I was thinking of MakeHuman. Sorry, been an all-nighter for me so I am not as sharp at the moment.
