When piecing together project clips and combining them into high quality (HQ) or Full Frame Uncompressed formats, sometimes the sizes that get produced are ENORMOUS!

I think some links to video converters that you have used would come in handy and assist those with limited space on their hard drives. It would also become invaluable with videos that have restricted sizes on uploading to host providers such as, Youtube, DailyMotion, etc.

One such converter I have recently found is Format Factory and it does conversions for many many formats from one to the other. It is totally free and an open-source converter, but does a speedy and quality job with a considerable amount of size reduction with minimum loss of quality. I have had 44gb AVI clips, and converted them to less than one gigabyte FLV and WMV high quality, depending on the format chosen of course.

I'm not going into great detail of the features here, because it can be read on the site link provided. Suffice it to say, that if you have a LARGE-ENORMOUS clip that just won't go up to a video host provider site and you need to reduce it, then this program is excellent and you can't beat the price. It is open source and does better than some of the paid software I have used in the past. I use the paid versions also, but for reduction and quality result, this free one can't be beat! It should also help those out there who have limited connection speed based on location or resources to obtain better.

Thanks for listening, and see what it can do for you...worth a spin around the block!

If you know of any others, then this thread is the place I think would help others to find the source.
