Not sure what you mean by "Zero it out", also the point helper, do you mean bone shape in blender?
Thanks Dave

I think You are using 3ds max, I am using blender, I watched so many videos, never caught my attention about bone PRS in blender, shame on me, do you have any pointers about the concepts in Blender? I googled, did not find it in blender.
Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, try this link http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.6/Manual/Rigging/Armatures/Editing/PropertiesHi Swoop, you know I'm going to pick on you again for being impatient with Dave. Cheers ps - Dave, swoop is right about the basic concepts - blender may be substantially different and use different names, but the concept is consistent in all 3D software regarding - setting your bones to zero. i'm still going to pick on swoop though lol

Don't feel bad Dave, it's like that for all of us - you did add a little extra weight to your plate though with blender, even blender admits their approach and UI is not mainstream.... which I was reading in their dev notes - that they plan to address that in the near future also. and you are right about swoop working on max and maya, he considers himself an advanced student - but he has yet to come full circle in his 'mastery' " If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." - Albert Einstein so ironically enough, he's trying to learn more by helping to teach you.

exactly - so zeroing out the bones is simply resetting the bones to their natural default position. the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line, unless you are into quantum physics.
