Hi,

What problems are you having with shadows in iClone 2.5? I haven't encountered any problems so far so could you explain the problem a little more.

With regards to the forum, the forum was renewed recently and it was required for everybody to register again. It is not a problem with the system but was needed because of the change to a completely new forum.

hi again, the problem with the shadows is: blurring of shadows does not work anymore since I upgraded to 2.5.

either there is no shadow (the case with any setting different to 0 for blur quality) or they are not blurred. This is pretty bad.

Hi,

Apologies for not replying earlier but for specific technical support you should contact support via the support form found below. They will deal with your problems on a one to one basis.

http://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/User/QForm.aspx

With regards to the shadow blurring issue, I'll explain how it works for me and you can see if this is the same for you.

If your graphics card is able to support them you will have 3 levels of shadows. These are Drop Shadow, Wall Shadow and Self Cast Shadow. Now blurring works like this.

Drop Shadow = No blurring

Wall Shadow = Blur level is adjustable.

Self Cast Shadow = Both Blur Level and Blur Quality enabled.

How does this compare to what you are experiencing? Note that Self Cast Shadow is graphic card dependant so you may or may not have this option.

OK, granted, english is not my first language, but does anyone here comprehend what I am trying to say????

I KNOW about the different kind of shadows, but blurring shadows is what does not work anymore aftre the update from 2- 2.5.

I would ******very much*** appreciate competent technical support. The webinterface for getting support is broken, as I stated earlier.

Hi Dekknavn,

I 'am struggling to understand what you mean by broken. The shadow blurring for me in iClone 2.5 is working exactly as I have stated in my previous post so it is not broken for me in that respect. To clarify there is no blurring with Drop Shadows but blurring is available for Wall Shadows and Self Cast Shadows. If you have no blurring with any of the 3 types of shadows then it may be a problem with your graphics card or your settings because it does work fine for me on the latter two options.

With regards to the Support Form, again the page opens for me correctly. Are you having problems displaying the form or is the problem after you submit the form? A little more info would be helpful.
