How to design Clothes using “Paint”? Category: iClone_Hints & Tips_CloneCloth Date: 2007.11.09 Version: iClone 2.0 Q: I want to design a set of Clothes using Paint. It seems that the available tutorials in Reallusion are all conducted with Photoshop. Unfortunately, I am the one without Photoshop. And I always got an empty texture when launching Opacity map. Any idea? Step 1) Load a CloneCloth character in iClone first. Go to “Avatar” > “Upper Body” > “Modify” and export “Diffuse Map” (as template).

Step 2) Open Paint, navigate to the saved Diffuse template and load it into Paint.
Step 3) Using Pencil or other tool to paint on the template for your texture design. And then save it somewhere in your disc after finished.
Step 4) Import the saved diffuse texture file into iClone. And repeat it back to and fro till you are happy with that.
Step 5) Load the Diffuse template in Paint again and start to edit the opacity texture. In this part, you should make visible part as white, and invisible part as black. Moreover, if you want to make transparent effect, you make it grey. Then, save the opacity texture somewhere in your disc.
Step 6)
Finally, import the opacity texture to cut the clothes. You can easily see the result like the image below.
