Suggestion:
1. Start where it begins.
http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/bvh-motions.asp2. Look at the profiles used : (There are other profiles, but it depends on how long you have had iClone.) C:\Program Files (x86)\Reallusion\BVH Motion Converter 5
C:\Program Files (x86)\Reallusion\iClone 3DXchange 5\3DX template\Default ( Profile_HumanG5_Full.prf) <-- can be opened with notepad
3. See what profile structure is exported by opening the BVH file exported.
4. Re-target it inside whatever program you import it into. Most have some sort of interpreter, so
you'll have to research that end of the process for the receiving software.
Not all Biovision Motion Profiles are exactly the same, so you do have to say what bone goes where (re-targeted) when transferred and converted into another program.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biovision_Hierarchy is now a defunct company...OUT of Business.
Try searching this as a question in your browser "
what is BVH motion file structure?" You'll get all the above and more. I use BING by the way...not Google.
An older link of 2500 BVH Motions that are/were free should you want to try and import those into 3dXchange.
http://www.cgarena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=52789One last thing...the
Pectoral bounce inside iClone is technically a Spring bone, so the receiving software has to be able to read it as such. I don't believe 3DXchange exports the Spring bone parameters, but I could be wrong.
That is all. Have a nice day.
p.s. 30 minutes search and post time for this; and I didn't scratch the surface too bad.
