Mr. Edwards,
Thank you for the directions. I followed them and was able to resolve my problem. Needless to say, I think there are too many selections marked 'products' on the members web page. Finding my way to the necessary URL shouldn't require as many steps as it does.
(And putting the upgrade I wanted under a link marked 'details' and all the other upgrade buttons under a link marked 'upgrades' seems especially egregious to me).
Well, I suppose that just seems like I'm trying to excuse my foolishness in not being able to find what I was looking for without help, but I tell you true, it is an arcane arrangement that is unnecessary, frustrating and almost cost you guys a customer. Whichever sales guru thinks this site's arrangement is the way to make customers happy needs a swift boot in his common sense.
Thanks for the help,
jjwebb

Black Dove (11/8/2007) Hello,
I found the upgrade quite simply as well. I am thinking a doubleclick cookie virus? (i had one of these and it reloads the same pages) As far as the cost and time waiting, 3-5 days is honestly not a horrible wait (weekends, holidays) I have bills that i pay online that take this long as well. Honestly, if you decide to stay with iClone (i ask you to give it a full chance despite a few errors) it is AMAZING. You will tell yourself like the rest of us, this is worth much more than $199 or $280. Trust me, get it. I'm sure RL will work with you on this as they have me on my mistakes as well. There is alot of great stuff you will want to purchase to enhance your films. Credit perhaps? RL is a great company depsite how ELEMENT 5 (the money collectors) work their end.
Greetings and hallucinations,
Black Dove
Black Dove,
Thanks for your response. That you found the upgrade page "quite simply" indicates that you're brighter than I am. Being shown-up to be less bright than other users, I am fearful that the software will be too difficult to use.
I find the process necessary to find the upgrade page arcane. If the software is equally arcane, my user experience will probably be as frustrating as my upgrade experience. This IS a bad omen. However, I did proceed with the upgrade. What can I say, I've already admitted to not being too bright.
Most of the sales people I know would put all the upgrades of a product on the page linked from the 'UPGRADE' menu selection. Putting it under a linked mark 'DETAILS' seems wrong to me - what can I say, I've already admitted to not being too bright.
Thanks again for your time,
jjwebb

Hi, jjwebb
Sorry for the misleading. I think the point is to enter http://www.reallusion.com/member/program/memberreg.asp but not http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/ic_upgrade.asp. We will improve the message to direct users. And I hope Pete has made a good flow to us.
Let me explain more about the page. The premium page contains a sentence "You may check left navigation bar to see your registered products and more functions" on the top.

I am afraid it's not good enough to help people find the page. So, we will consider open the menu in the default status.

Sorry again for this unthinking interface. And thanks to Pete, Shy, and Black with the wonderful comments and experiences.
Regards Visconti
