| | I've been working on testing out facial morphs and facial mapping with just iclone to develop extra characters. With a little patience and proper face structure, the results can be extremely surprising for their quality. The jpg below is three faces built strictly in iclone and placed on stock Trey. No post production touch-ups after render and no pre-production touchups to the original photo used to create the face. So, while not perfect, you can get some very high quality results to your character faces. All of the jpgs used for these 3 faces were only 72dpi so crazy resolution is not required. The larger the image, the easier it is to get cleaner detail. But all in all, the facial system can be a fantastic tool and I encourage anyone that hasn't mucked about with it to do so.

Hey wolf,
I could not agree with you more. I was talking about this with Cathy in one of my other threads. Excellent job on the skin textures. You can totally push the look out of the faces with a little work and not make them look so plastic/cartoony looking.
thanks for sharing,

| Those faces are awesome Wolf. I am working on a movie right now with some interesting characters, and this has inspired me to put a little more effort into each character's look. It can make such a difference. I agree with you Cathy on your comments I've been reading. With time and effort, you can really produce some great stuff and I am trying to challenge myself with this one.

| Looks really impressive, Wolf! I'm about to start working on my first real iClone film (a Lovecraft story - I'm writing the script at present) and will need some unique looking characters. This is a great example of what can be achieved and makes me feel like I can get the characters to look the way I feel they should (if that makes sense.)

| Some great looking faces Wolf. Although it may seem like there are only subtle changes in the face creator of iClone3 from iClone2, it is infact much improved. If you take a little time in setting up each stage to get the alignment spot on, the results are outstanding as you have proved.

Heh. Heath Ledger and Robert Deniro in the back. Front guy is just some no name bumpkin I see kicking around my house now and then, although I morphed the face structure considerably.
