Hi,

I need to create some small realistic scenes to include in a training package, and I would like to know how it compares to Antics 3D.

Some of the parameters are:
- Realistic scene creation
- Available libraries of (realistic) buildings, vehicles (including military, eg. humvees), characters, props, etc.
- easy of use - learning curve.

In which cases iClone would be more appropriate in which ones Antics will be.

Thanks,

Gilbert

From a brief look at Antics, I would say that they're characters are not quite as life-like
in appearance or motion, but their scene building capability is something that iClone
does not have that I wish they did.

Hi, mizrahi

Antics3D is aimed to make a preview of final production...it's a dynamic storyboard.
There are many smart features within it, such as scene setting, camera switch, character positioning and movement.
But as to "Customization" & "Realism", iClone is definitely a winner.

Realistic Scene Creation
You can refer to the scenes in Antics3D and those in iClone.
iClone indeed put more efforts to make them realistic (especially "live plants").
In iClone, you can also apply your own images/photos to build up a scene.
To set up a scene in Antics3D is much more easier, but you will lose the fun of customization.

Available libraries
There are content stores in both iClone and Antic3D.
However, you can find 3DXchange which can support iClone with endless contents.
Especially, 3DXchange 2.0 (early Dec.) will import all the models in 3D warehouse.
The flexibility of iClone is much strong.

Easy of use
It depends on what you refer to.
Antics3D is smarter in some aspects of functions.
If you focus on "how long" it will take you to get familiar with it.
iClone is much easier to start becuase the UI is friendly and easy to follow.

I hope this info can help you
