I'm looking at an upgrade offer I just received for 3DXchange5 Pipeline and have watched many of the videos tutorials. I want to be able to export to Unity and have seen a number of references to the custom movement script for Unity or the Reallusion WASD controller.

I've only found one reference to download this script and that reference is no longer valid. Is the script part of the upgrade package to the Pipeline version or do I need to download it alone. If it's a download where can I find it?

Thanks

Excellent question!

I did mine the old fashion way (Hard Coded) using CSharp.

* Import Character with imbedded Animation
* Apply Character Controller

Scripts: (Visual Studio 2010)
* sw00000p Controller
* sw00000p Motor
* sw00000p Animator
* sw00000p Camera
* Cam Helper

I'm dying to see RL...    GIVE AWAY their script(s)   Show Me! I Don't Believe it!

lundon, I'm stating it this way so, if you're lucky, RL may give you their Scripts!
Good Luck!

Thanks for the info.

Yikes. RL doesn't provide the script. In their tutorial "Bringing iClone Characters to Life in Unity with Scripting", around 5:45, they say "Reallusion has also provided a custom movement script for Unity that you can easily use with your characters as well...". Granted they don't say who they have "provided" it to, but I sure read it that there was a free download available.

Sadly, I'm not talented enough to do my own coding.

Oh, well. Guess that means I'll have to wait until I can contact them during the work week. And I so wanted to make yet another impulse buy this weekend.

Wooooo!  I'm NOT saying RL does not provide the script(s)!  I'm saying, "I hope you receive those Script(s) and show me."
______________________________________________________________________

BTW... Unity is useless without scripting! Many fall into this category, spinning their wheels, going nowhere fast!

"OK, you follow a YouTube Tutorial and import your Level Desgn and characters!"
"Let's say you've received the RL ScriptS"

* How Do You create a Cut Scene!
* How Do create a "Working Game!"

_______________________________________________________________________

The biggest mistake beginners make is the.... State Machine Plug-In!
* Yes, It Works beautifully!

but.....  Just Try And Compile...  You Know, "Create a WORKING Game!
The knowledge required to "Configure" the State Machine Plugin...  is EXTENSIVE!

"Yeah, they show you how to push "E-Z" buttons... but they... Don't Show You How To Compile!"

...especially a 3rd Person Platform Game!  AAA Feature omitted!

Please Practice Coding:

@lundon,

wooooPEEEE!  Now you can move the character and control its motion with HotKeys!

Now add the following scripts:

* Motor
* Camera
* UI... Buttons: Lives, Health, etc.

Optional: depending on Complexity!

* Cut Scenes
* AI... Artificial Intelligence
* Bullet Manager
* Water Splash

Now you're ready to COMPILE!

Uh Oh!    Let's clear the confusion NOW!    You may have a "Motor & Camera" script...
but they DON'T WORK with the RL Controller/Animation script!

The "Motor & Camera" script... Must be Re-Written or amended to MATCH the RL Character Controller and Animation Code!

You CAN'T simply drag 'n drop scripts together and POOF.... They Magically Work!
You CAN drag ' n drop... many Unity Scripts together... THAT WORK!, but NOT THE RL SCRIPT!

PROOF: Compile Once...  Look At the ERRORS!
___________________________________________________

You NEED a RL "MOTOR & CAMERA" Script!    That has the CORRECT CODE!

Let's See SEN give you this!

without this...  You're Spinning You're Wheels, Going Nowhere FAST!

This is like bringing a character into iClone.
* You can move the character.
* You can make it perform motions.

~ Now Where's the Movie! ~

RL Controller Animation Script:

* You can move the character.
* You can make it perform motions.

~ Now Where's the Game! ~

Excellent Start.... but don't fool yourself..... Much Work to do for completion!
