| Aside of using your sliders to modify the hair texture size, color, and contrast, you can effectively change the "style" of the hair by altering the opacity map. Think of the opacity map as the barber, or hairstylist. The example below demonstrates how by simply painting an area of the the opacity map black in color to remove a portion of the default hair texture creates another style. In this example a Jennifer Aniston type hair style was produced trimming the front and sides.
Below is another example of changing the hair appearance using ONLY your photo editor. In the first image are the default hair styles, and in the one below it shows that Jack has aged and developed a sparse hairline. Jane has bleached her hair to revitalize her youth No sliders were used in creating these. Personally, I like to modify in photoshop, and then fine tune the texture afterward using sliders as much can be done tweaking the sliders to achieve desired effect.

Hope this helps explain the potential of creating additional styles from existing hair textures available. I recommend purchasing the Classic Cuts for more versatility, and they are at great pricing. Most importantly, remember to save the opacity maps/vns hair files that you have created, unlike I did making these No worries though, I only need to open photoshop to cut some more hair

| Hi Neil, Sorry it sounded so simplified for you. Over on www.coolclones.com we are having increasing numbers of new members who are unfamiliar with the software. It is easy to forget that new users sometimes have to hunt thro manuals and forum threads to find answers. I now try to explain as fully as possible different methods used. Shy

| Hi Rainman - what a terrific idea! The opacity haircut! Okay, so I have tried it now about 14 times. Could you or someone else, perhaps give me a bit of a lead on how to work with that black and white blob type image that comes up in Photoshop when I export the opacity feature? I love the Jennifer Aniston type haircut you designed. However, I cannot figure out how to remove the bangs from Jane's do. I would post a picture of my efforts here, but I am not sure about how to import a jpg to this board. What can I tell you, I'm a true newbie. You would probably be amused by my "haircut" efforts. Anyway, thanks for the advice- lead. Orange

| Rainman, Visconti, all On the 26th try I finally figured out how to remove the bangs! Still, could use some expert advice about handling the odd images that show up on the opacity etc. exports into Photoshop. Below is the "haircut" without bangs that I edited in Photoshop. I have also trimmed the bottom of the cut to make it straighter. Orange

It just means the entire hairstyle is visible...what you want to do is look at the UV map along with it, and determine the edit you want to make using it as a guide.
