| seems like a useful tool, however, as I understand (hope I am wrong) from the description, I have to upload my widgets to your site in order to use them, which is, if true, not so very appealing, so I did not even try the beta.
Can't I just output a .swf movie that I could use as ***I*** wish to on my sites? Then I would use widget me in an instant...

| Hi BeruPly,
In this version, we host all the files for most user's convenience. We will release another version supports self hosting and desktop output in Q2 2009.

Regards, Alan"Self-hosting would be the best. Now, that would make the program worthwhile - I prefer to host my own - just buy a product to allow me to create the environment for my webpage |

| | Gee I did not know that you could not self-host - I was considering Widget for project but now I don't know. You might want to check out MotionArtist from SmithMicro (the poser people). I have used it in the past with good results - although I have to check if it supports swf transparent background output. JP

| noticed 1.0 is out, is there any news concerning self hosting of the widgets, i.e. when the version allowing for this will be released?
(I am a stupid human being, so I really don't get it why such an important feature is left out for so long, that scares users away instead of attracting them, but as i sad I am not that knowledgeable :hehe

| Hi BeruPly,
Self-hosting feature will be provided in the next version (and different edition), which is due to release in 2Q. We believe self-hosting and Reallusion hosting are two different user groups, both needs exist. Though it's too early to explain detail now, the basic idea is that current WidgetMe is a free tool for entry level users; next edition is a paid version for advanced user, even for business purpose (and more features will be added).
Regards,
Alan

| We discussed a lot on the features but not on the price yet. Hope you feel worth it when the price and spec released.

| Don't want to continue kicking the dead horse here, however I wanted to add that the widget app has great potential. With that said I wouldn't even consider using it till it can be self hosted, and see how much it will cost.
Looking forward to the next release...
