| I have Crazy Talk Media Studio, and I am interested in the Talking Slide. I can't seem to get the previews to play on my system. Do you know why? I just get a box with an "x". Thanks.

Alley,
I also had problems viewing initially. I tried viewing in Firefox and it wouldn't do anything until I opened the link in a Firefox IE Tab. Some sites and links just are not built for Firefox, I've found. Crazytalk Script and sites that display it should have a disclaimer stating that to view either open in Internet Explorer or in Firefox using the IE Tab add-on available here. If I can't see it in Firefox which I use almost exclusively, then I know to right-click on the link and choose the IE tab option. Unless a site is on a phishing expedition it works every time. If it doesn't work even after trying the IE tab, then they just aren't worth looking at.

Hi, alley
I am not sure if we refer to the same page. I think you can also try to install CT web player first before viewing it. http://plug-in.reallusion.com/installCT.asp
BTW, Talking Slide can work only with 3.x, but not 4.x. Just let you know in case you want it to work with your CT. (You can send a request to apply for free 3.X as I know it's okay.)
Thanks Visconti

| Same problem in Crazy talk, using the Greeting "Guardian Template". Choices are .cab or .mht. I realize that .cab is just a packaged .mht. When you click to open, the face appears, but no type or rest of template, just x's. I use IE, so the Firefox thing won't help. We wanted to use this type of thing to email out to potential clients. But, if people are going to have issues opening everything, I am not sure this is a good option. The Messenger option, with the little TV screens will be useful, especially with the link to url. But I would also see a use for the Talking Slide - so I would gladly take the earlier version of Crazy Talk. But, will people be able to play the files when zipped and emailed to them. That is the other problem, you can't email .exe files, they get blocked. So they have to be zipped. the .cab option, asks you to run or save - which will scare some people. So they won't bother. Is Crazy Talk 5 going to expand further on these features? I will just make sure the Talking slide demo doesn't X out things, then I will post back regarding the earlier version of Crazy Talk. Thanks. If everyone has to download a crazy talk player to play the files, most won't bother I would think.

I lost some posts for some reason - but I wanted to confirm that when I followed your link to play the Showcase samples, they worked - so I don't know why they were not working for me the other day. Okay, the Talking Slide works well - the download trial worked and I could package it as an .exe and it worked. So Crazy Talk 3 or whatever I would need to make my own models would be appreciated. Regarding the issue with using the templates in Crazy Talk to use the Greetings. This is what I set up http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/773/10292007122516px9.jpg This is what I end up with. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1748/10292007121658xb1.jpg Any idea why?

Hi, Alley
I found you are using Vista OS, and I am wondering if you have upgraded to 4.6. http://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/ct_upgrade.asp As I know, there will be some problems with the web player in Vista if the version is not updated.
Please let me know if it still can't solve your problem.
Thanks Visconti
