Mine is the only movie made with iclone3 (gulp!) that will be showing at the upcoming TMU Movie Night in Second Life.

The event is this Saturday, December 6th at 4pm EST.

It will be at Overman's Theater in Jamville (thank you Overman!) at an event organized by thebiz.

I keep trying to come up with a good way of describing this movie, and I'm sticking with "an emotional short." Oddly enough, I'm especially pleased with the way I did the ending credits.

As this is my first iclone movie that is A)Not a music video and B)exclusively made with iclone, I am curious to see how it goes over.

Screenies:

Anyway! All are welcome at the event, which will feature not just this movie but some other great work made by people who are, well, not me!

Ages ago, I tried second life a few times, but I kept getting lost, lol

The event sounds like fun.  Good luck with it, and congrats on having the video shown

Do you still have copies of those anywhere?  I'd like to watch them.

As far as second life goes - I created an account for the machinima event in there a few weeks ago.  That's about the last time I logged in too.  But it sure was neat sitting as a virtual me with the virtual me's of other movie-makers watching some machinima together.  So I'm hoping this event has that same kind of community feel to it.  Even if I can't figure out how to make my hair look like something a normal person would walk around wearing!

For those that are thinking of attending (and I encourage you to do so!) and haven't been into Second Life before, I strongly suggest you sign up and drop in a couple of times before the event itself. This way you can get used to the controls and environment without feeling "rushed" or overwhelmed on the day itself.

I also have a movie playing there (being premiered, actually!), though it's not an iClone movie, sorry to say. So I will definitely be there!

The recent MachinExpo was a lot of fun and made for a cool venue to sit with your friends in a virtual cinema (I even had a "cell phone experience" when someone was speaking near by the cinema. Luckily, in SL you can turn down the volume of other people talking and enjoy the movie in peace! Unlike real life cinemas... )
