testing...

There are many threads on CloneCloth 2, the limitations of using it with G3 characters, and the up coming CloneCloth 3. I was wondering if there are any alternative ways of making clothes for G3 characters?

A forum user by the name of Mike Aparicio posts about his Apparition products such as SkirtMagic (which isn't available yet), and I think he's released clothing such as a poncho. He is not an official Reallusion developer, as far as I can tell, so how is he making these products? Is it my guess that it is possible to import clothes like flowing dresses from other programs like Maya?

[PS- I am having problems posting by the way. I get an error saying "The board administrator has requested that you must provide some message content within your post. You cannot post only HTML, Images, EmotIcons or IFCode."]

Hi Tskums

I think you will find Mike Aparico is a developer under CCD programme. Mike  posts about his Apparition products such as SkirtMagic which will be available on Reallusion store in the near future. As for the poncho, this is now available at www.clones2go.org as well as his Santa character.

Hope this helps

Hi tskums!   Thanks Popeye!

First is wrong, second is right!

I am a Reallusion certified content developer, C.C.D for short. Your interest is appreciated!  Please visit ContentStore or follow Popeye's lead to find what you need.  Also, SkirtMagic andSpectre are in the process, sometimes, hard, to get it's way into the stores.   You will have your options to buy it, though.

Please post all your clothing interests, as we are at Apparition, working hard to get Iclone resources to the stratosphere IN A SHORT TIME!

To stop getting the error you mention above, try to make sure you begin and end your post with plain text. This way you can normally avoid getting that annoying message.

Nice work BigBoss. It's great to see more people making inroads on the development side.

Thanks.

I must admit that I could do a lot more if I had acces to the actual 3ds MAX G2 Clonecloth Base Templates... Plus the details of the integration are not documented anywhere so I had to go trial error.

For instance, I could port the G2 CloneCloth Base to G3 Avatar so that users can re-map the textures developed for G2 Cloths on G3 Avatar... This is technically possible and does not seem to be in the plans for G3 CloneCloth... Food for though...

Cheers !

Hey BigBoss!

It might take quite a little longer to come up with "real" cloth for G3 and also would be like reinventing the wheel.  C4G3 is a "real reality".  It is the product of very substantial, long, enormous efforts.  It contains 17 templates to create an infinity of clothing garments for G3 chicks!    It is a double skin system, which allow users to create their "own" styles for no sterotyped characters.    Remarkably does not add a high poly count, as there are templates for styles as short as a brief bikini, up to full covered slack body fits!  This means you can select the best template for a particular style with the minimum poly count, while retaining opacity control, for cuts, slashes, slits, collars and see through!

Users have long lamented and demanded clothing for G3s.

Well..  It is there!  At ContentStore!

What else can I do for you, movie makers?

Humm...   I am doing the skirt Magic kit for all kind of dresses and skirts.   Also the C4G3male kit and many special effects surprises, plus a new wonder which will make more than one mouth opened!!!

So you can get your 17 G3 clothing templates for about $ 5.50 each!  Who said it was expensive?     And if you get it, you can start submitting materials for it and make quite a few extra Bucks!

Also you can check the soon to be released SkirtMagic, at:

Sold?   Here is the link to get C4G3:
