| Hi, I wanted to use a hockey set for a scene which i found in google 3d warehouse. From there I brought it into sketch up and I'm getting a 3d perspective of the scene. I just wanted to know as to how do i export this whole set of hockey from sketch up to 3ds echange to iclone. I mean i want a 3d perspective , the whole stadium and not just a part of it. The way the iclone baseball pack where I can navigate through the whole stadiium..very similar to that, I want to be able to navigate through this hockey stadium having a full 360 camera movement. How do i achieve this

| But all the attributes of the original created 3D MODEL of the stadium are lost. The stadium no longer looks the same if i choose the settings mentioned in the guidelines. The goal post is without a net and the spectator side of the stadium looks black. Even the grass has lots its texture and it looks worst than the 3D model that i had imported from google 3D WAREHOUSE. Can somebody help me with this. This is the model which I imported from google 3d warehouse. Club Raffelbergs hockey...
I want this to look exactly the same when I finally get it to Iclone.. What settings shud i choose when i export as 3ds from google sketch up..so that it looks exactly the same.. the nets, the goal post, the ground texture as well as the spectator sitting area .. plz if somebody cud help...

| You need to place the obj and mtl files as well as the textures all in the same folder before importing into 3dxchange, this should give you a good end result. Shy

| Sorry I didn't get you. The same folder means what? Before I import to 3DS? or before I import to iclone? Also which folder do i need to keep all this? Somewhere inside 3ds folder?

| Shy, It's not working. It looks exactly the same result even after keeping the objs and the 3ds files in the same folder. Can somebody find a right way to get the exact same model of hockey stadium from the link i gave to iclone

Shy, It's not working. It looks exactly the same result even after keeping the objs and the 3ds files in the same folder. Can somebody find a right way to get the exact same model of hockey stadium from the link i gave to iclone I don't use Sketchup Pro so I can't try the download out but there are a few things worth mentioning. As Shygirl has already said, what is important is that you have the textures in the correct place for them to show up in 3DXchange. If the textures are not in the correct place (normally the same folder as the .OBJ file) you will get the problems you are having. If you followed the guidelines from the link I gave above you will have chosen the option to export the materials (textures) which means you should have some .JPG or .BMP files as well as the .3DS or .OBJ. Try putting these together in whatever folder you have exported to and see if that makes a difference.
