Dear Reallusion,

No offence but your website navigation sucks.

When I try to drag one of the 'bonus' avatars, Trey, on to the stage in iClone5, I am diverted to a page where I am informed of all the 'wonderful' content I can get at the Reallusion content store, and asked to log in. (Even though I am already logged in on another window)

It is a very basic expectation of today's websites that after you enter information in a login screen, you will be taken back to the content that you were originally interested in. This is a point that you consistently seem to miss. In this scenario I must begin my search from scratch, typing the word 'Trey' into the content search engine and turning up over a hundred pages of results including derivative characters, meshes and clothing, but not the actual avatar itself.

The sad thing is, this is typical of my experience with iClone. So much content, so little of it useful, and almost impossible to find what you want.

The Avatar Builder made up for this until recently. Now that it has shut down, there appears to be no redeeming qualities about the iClone platform. The boasts you make about the latest 3DXChange being able to import any avatar or animation into iClone is a joke. It is about as flexible as a broom handle and, even in a best-case scenario, the characters' faces cannot be animated.

You've really got to do better than this.

Sincerely,

Jesse

Hi geordie,

welcome to the forum! works for me, i love the system....takes some work and patience but it's way faster than the other systems out there, trust me i can show you some real horror stories out there that will make iclone backstage look like a public library! It's just a lot of stuff to sort through. Things will always get better over time. Now you know the system can be a bit quirky, next time you find a page you like , just copy the url as a back up before you go anywhere else.

Cheers!

You are not alone

I recently Double-clicked one of the Bonus Marketplace G5 Character designs supplied with iC5. Instead of the Character loading into the Previewscreen, that action took me to a Reallusion Web Page to Download the Bonus Character Designs. So, I did. Characters then Loaded into rhe Previewscree, as normal. Go figure.

From what I've seen here & Posts by others, since Installing iC5 & my recent investigations re; iC5's Program Delivery & behavio(u)r, there's something inherently wrong with iC5 per se, for some but not all. IMO, it depends upon your particular workflow, PC Hardware & Software setup etc.

I would have thought that these problems should have arisen & been rectified at the pre-Release BETA stage.

IMO, iC5 is a big departure from previous iC5 Versions, with considerably more "Sophistication" & should have been Developed from the ground-up, rather than adding that "Sophistivation" to the Basic Program.

Although I can understand it can be confusing at first, once you find your way around it will become easier.

The important thing to remember is that your Member Account is where you get all bonus content, patches, resource packs and to redownload all your software and content packs. So when you see references to "login first", just go to your Member Account and you should find everything you need.
